Spencer Trad (2007)DAST International’s First Candidate Spencer Trad received hip resurfacing with Dr. Thomas Gross of South Carolina on October 17, 2007. Spencer Trad, a 28 year old Veteran was born and raised in Greenville, Texas. He was in the United States Navy from January 2002 until 2006 and was stationed in Brunswick, Maine and Jacksonville, Florida. He held the rank of Aviation Maintainence Administration, Third Class. After his discharge, he had no medical insurance when he started experiencing hip pain and was diagnosed with AVN. More Info
Reverend James DalyDAST International’s Fifth Candidate Reverend James Daly began training in Karate in New York City when I was 10 years old in 1961. He was very blessed because someone took me off the streets of the South Bronx and placed me in their karate school to train free of charge. Karate training at that time was extremely strenuous and the discipline was rigorous. He trained 7 days per week at a minimum of 2 hours per day. The only days off were Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Juliana SabanaDAST International has selected it’s sixth candidate Juliana Sabana have been in pain since 2004 and the last 3 and a half years the pain has been seriously debilitating. When it started getting pretty bad in '06, She had excellent medical coverage through her work. She got tons of MRI's and the results were, my doctor said, "a little liquid in the hip, some slight degeneration that’s completely normal. This is certainly not the cause of your pain." She took her word for it and tried to find the source of the pain by using any alternative she could. Acupuncture, Chiropractor, yoga, etc. She was under the impression it was my psoas muscle so one treatment even scraped her stomach so hard to smooth out the psoas that I was black and blue. The next treatment scraped right over the bruises. This was very painful but she would try anything to get out of the pain More Info |
